As I get ready to head back to Santa Cruz, I thought this would be a good time to go over some road trip etiquette. I drove down here Saturday with a couple of friends, and what should have been a 7 hour trip turned into a 9+ hour trip. Granted traffic was pretty bad, but what made things worse was the number of stops we made. What drives me crazy more than anything, is during a stop on a road trip, your fellow road trippers start talking about the next stop we are going to make. If I had my way, the only stops we would make would e the stops that the car needs to make (i.e. gas). The only other reason I would stop is if the world was going to end, and even then, I probably wouldn't stop, because what does it matter? But I guess this is the price you pay to split gas costs. Hopefully today's return trip goes a little better.

I love making stops... and talking about the next stop when we get back in the car from the previous stop. I guess we wouldn't be good Road Trip Partners. Does this mean we can't take the Westy to Mexico like we planned???
