Perfect Storm Part 2

So the story gets better.

This democratic primary race continues to fascinate me. As I explained last week, the democratic nominee for president will likely be chosen by "super delegates".

Although Obama continues to hold a slight lead in pledged delegates, the tides can quickly change . As if there wasn't enough reason for the democratic party to fear a brokered convention, Obama's pastor of the last twenty plus years continues to give the super delegates reason to doubt his ability to beat McCain in the presidential election.

All this adds to the liklihood of a brokered convention, where even though Obama may enter the convention with the lead in pledged delegates, the "super delegates" decide to give the nomination to Clinton, because they feel she is more electable and it is in the best interest of the party.

If you ask me, you couldn't write a better script. The democratic party is caught between a rock and a hard place. Do you give the nomination to Obama, who as each day passes, becomes less and less likely to be able to beat McCain in the presidential election? Or do you give the nomination to Clinton, going against the apparent will of the voters and deny him victory even though he holds the lead in pledged delegates?

One thing I have to say. If I even run for president, I hope my pastor doesn't embarrass me like Obama's pastor does. You got to check this guy out. He is crazy. Just go to YouTube and type in Jeremiah Wright. All kinds of good stuff.

Stay tuned. I'll follow this closely and keep you updated. As if you really needed to hear about politics from another source right?
